Poetry is being shared in all corners of the country on this fine day, as today marks the 19th annual National Poetry Day, since known as Phantom Billstickers National Poetry Day after the company penned a sponsorship agreement in March. In commemoration of the day, we share some favourite poems from people in the industry (and our office, because why not).

Creatives put their table tennis skills to the test

There’s been lots of balls flying in adland this month as Fish&Clips presented the Flying Paddle table tennis tournament, which saw smashing performances from Ogilvy, Y&R, Colenso, Chemistry, DDB and Fish. However, it was Ogilvy’s night as its representatives were crowned both doubles and singles champions for 2016.

Charity art exhibition to celebrate adland’s escape artists

Advertising veteran and co-founder of Idealog David MacGregor has organised an exhibition of work by a collection of what he describes as “New Zealand’s faded advertising stars”. Dubbed Escape Artists, the exhibition will launch at the Depot Artspace in Devonport on 3 September, with a charity auction of works by the featured artists at 2.00pm.

Bauer bets big on Nadia Lim with launch of new lifestyle brand

This morning, at The Vitrine in Grey Lynn, Bauer unveiled a new lifestyle magazine brand fronted by celebrity chef Nadia Lim. Dubbed Nadia, the bi-monthly publication will debut to the public on 17 October, as Bauer distributes a hefty run of 60,000 copies to supermarkets and bookstores throughout the nation.
