Like a phoenix from the musical ashes, Groove Guide gets resuscitated

Rumours that Groove Guide lives to fight another day are entirely … true.

On Monday, Tangible Media announced it was to close the much-loved but struggling street-zine. There was an outcry, teeth were gnashed, wailing took place and a few suitors came out of the woodwork when it became apparent it was on its deathbed. We understand the magazine has been bought by Grant ‘Grunta’ Hislop.

Details on the exact nature of the deal, the future of Groove staff and the date of the first Hislop-owned issue are sketchy. We’ll get back to you soon.

Hislop is well known in the music business and is currently programme director with Juice TV.
