Wrestler introduces its new general manager

Strengthening its team, Wrestler has recently announced Claire Beesley as its new general manager. Beesley has recently returned to New Zealand after spending the past 11 years in Europe working in the creative industry.

Her most recent role was with globally revered agency Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, where she spent eight years as communications director and worked across client portfolios for Nike, Instragram, Facebook and Corona.

Within her role at W+K, Beesley led communications and PR strategy for all client and creative output and worked with company leaders to develop internal culture and diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.

Working with some of the world’s most renowned brands, along with her agency marketing and culture expertise, was what led Wrestler to encourage Beesley back to New Zealand.

“We’re really excited to welcome Claire to the Wrestler family,” says Wrestler CEO Ben Forman.

“Over the past few years, Wrestler has evolved from its production origins into a full service creative agency so having someone of Claire’s calibre and global outlook joining the team will be invaluable in continuing to move Wrestler forward into world domination, which is what every agency aims for right?”

Beesley says she is excited to be back in New Zealand and in particular working for Wrestler.

“The country and creative industry have changed considerably since I left over a decade ago so I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with my roots and not only bringing my international experience home, but to an agency that is truly values led and focused on harnessing the power of creativity for good.”
