O’Brien goes to the head of TVNZ sales table

After the defection of  TVNZ’s ex-head of sales and marketing Paul Maher to MediaWorks recently, general manager of media solutions Jeremy O’Brien has taken over half of that role and been announced as the new head of sales.

O’Brien has been with TVNZ for seven years and has a long history in marketing, media solutions and senior sales roles across a diverse number of industries (he has worked as international marketing manager for Lion, sponsorship manager at Vodafone and had various marketing roles at ANZ and ASB).

“I am really looking forward to leading a high performing sales team that will push the boundaries to continue to deliver great results for our advertising partners,” he says.

Prior to Maher, the role was always head of sales, so it’s reverting back to the old model again. But business marketing manager Lexie Ribot says the marketing side of that equation is still being worked out.
