Stuff launches new digital platform HealthStuff to cut through the noise
Stuff Digital has launched a new platform called HealthStuff, aiming to deliver health information to Kiwis in partnership with Chemist Warehouse.
Stuff owner and publisher Sinead Boucher says HealthStuff is focused on delivering smart health advice to help Kiwis live better lives.
“We kicked off this project with a 12 week national study of the health and habits of New Zealanders which showed that too often people are confused by the volume of AI generated information and social media advice, and they don’t know how trustworthy it is,” she says.
“HealthStuff brings together medical experts, lifestyle coaches and engaging, practical tools for Kiwis in a new section delivering the type of expert-backed content which helps people to make positive changes in their life.”
Health of the Nation
The HealthStuff platform features qualified health professionals, including a GP, psychiatrist and pharmacist, answering audience questions and offering advice on the best ways to improve health.
HealthStuff also launches with a Health Comparison Tool built exclusively from Stuff’s first Health of the Nation study, enabling users to compare their health experiences with other New Zealanders. From sleep habits and health issues to how much alcohol you drink, the tool allows Kiwis to rank themselves against a nationally representative sample to see how their lifestyles rate against the average.
Stuff Digital commercial director Jaana Collins says HealthStuff’s ambition is to give New Zealanders more answers, without all of the unnecessary noise.
“HealthStuff reflects Stuff’s ongoing commitment to creating quality New Zealand content and in turn, quality opportunities for our commercial partners to connect with their audiences,” she says.
“Over the coming weeks we’ll be launching a number of market-leading integrations on the platform that we’re excited to debut.”
Cutting through the noise
Justen Duggan, who is group media director of Chemist Warehouse agency Stratosphere, says the partnership was founded on a shared commitment to helping more Kiwis access credible, trusted health information.
“Arming Kiwi communities with science-backed, expert health guidance is something both Stuff and Chemist Warehouse were immediately aligned on,” he says. “
At a time when personal health has never been more important, or more confusing, HealthStuff aims to cut through the growing volume of misinformation online.”
