
One NZ and FCB release second chapter in Finding Jade story
One NZ and FCB Aotearoa have released the second part of the “Finding Jade” story, which began in May last year.
The story left off with Jade arriving at a mysterious gem shop in the Scottish Highlands, having met a woman who could potentially be his long lost biological Mum.
Chapter two follows Jade as he continues his journey of self discovery with the help of his best mate Pepper and One NZ. Along the way we meet new family members, learn more about Jade’s biological Mum and Dad and set the scene for the next stage of Jade’s adventure.
A tale that connects us all
The new campaign builds on the “Let’s Get Connected” brand platform, developed by FCB last year in close collaboration with One NZ and strategist David (DT) Thomason. It was designed to demonstrate the power of human connection and capture Kiwi hearts and minds.
One NZ’s brand lead Kamran Kazalbash says, “At the heart of ‘Finding Jade’ and ‘Let’s Get Connected’ is the simple insight that humans crave connection, and we, as a telco are in the unique position to facilitate that.
“Kiwi have really connected with Jade and his adventure across the world and it’s wonderful to be able to share this next chapter in his journey and get to know the other characters in his famlily along the way.
“Of course, there is still much more of this tale to come and the journey is definitely ‘to be continued’,” Kazalbash adds.
FCB creative directors Alan Jones, Angelo An and Hywel James add, “Since introducing the country to Jade’s odyssey last year, we’ve been asked countless time – what happens next?
“It’s clear the public are deeply invested. And we don’t want to disappoint. This second chapter will give people some much needed answers and create a lot of new questions as we continue to tell this ambitious, emotive and odd story of connection with One NZ for years to come.”
