Lumo Digital Outdoor is set to launch New Zealand’s largest roadside landscape digital billboard, creating a new premium opportunity for advertisers to build brand impact at scale in central Auckland.
Located on the corner of 898 Great South Road, Penrose, Lumo-Great Southern Lights will go live on November 2.
The site reaches 95,000+ Kiwis weekly and delivers 2.2 million impressions*. The audience includes commuters, trade fleets, business decision-makers and retail customers. The site also connects key areas across the city like Auckland Airport, the CBD, Sylvia Park, Ikea and as well as being in close proximity to Mt Smart Stadium.
Lumo co-founder and CEO Phil Clemas says the new site reflects the growing demand from advertisers for premium digital OOH that combines strategic location with standout creative potential.
“Lumo-Great Southern Lights gives brands a rare combination of scale, visibility and time in one of Auckland’s busiest transport arterials. Positioned on a main arterial route corner on Great South Road, it will be seen early and viewable from all four intersections, presenting a genuine opportunity for advertisers to build fame and for agencies to develop work designed specifically for the environment,” he says.
Cinematic scale
At 26.4 metres wide by 6 metres high, the screen will deliver 158sqm of digital roadside presence with a distinctive corner return. More than four times the size of Lumo’s hero 12m x 3m landscape digital billboard, it gives brands the scale to deliver simple, bold and memorable creative with greater impact.
As well as size, the format offers brands and marketers the opportunity to plan and produce work specifically for a premium large-format digital landscape roadside environment. For New Zealand creative teams, it marks a significant new digital landscape canvas in market and a chance to develop ambitious public-facing work at a cinematic scale not previously available.
Lumo is now in discussion with agencies and brands ahead of launch, with limited inaugural availability for early access to the format.
