The One Show announces 11 finalists from NZ

The One Club for Creativity has announced the finalists for The One Show 2026, including 11 from New Zealand.

All finalists will receive either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Pencil, or a Merit. Winners will be announced during Creative Week 2026 on May 14 and celebrated at The One Show 2026 on May 15 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

Now in its 17th year, Creative Week is an annual gathering for the advertising and design industries. The event celebrates the creative excellence recognised in The One Club’s leading global awards: The One Show, ADC 105th Annual Awards and Young Ones Student Awards.

The One Show 2026 will include announcements of special honours such as Best of Show and Best of Discipline, the inaugural One Show Members Choice Award – voted on by The One Club for Creativity members – and the 2026 Creative Hall of Fame inductees.

NZ finalists

Motion Sickness leads New Zealand’s 2026 One Show finalists with nine in total: five for Whānau Ora ‘The Māori roll call’, three for Karaghape Business Association’s ‘Karangahape returns’ and one for New Zealand Herpes Foundation‘s ‘The best place in the world to have herpes’.

Saatchi & Saatchi NZ has one finalist for Toyota New Zealand’s ‘New Zealand’s one big ad’, while Special Auckland also secures one for ‘New Zealand’s little helper’ on behalf of Greyhounds As Pets.

Worldwide shortlist

Meanwhile, Australia has 35 finalists, including VML Sydney, Droga5 ANZ, Ogilvy, Special Sydney and TBWA\ Melbourne.

Globally, Rethink Toronto leads with 47 finalists. Uncommon Creative Studio London follows with 34, while Apple Cupertino, FCB Chicago and VML New York each have 26. Courage Inc. Toronto has 23 finalists, Area 23 has 21 and LePub Mexico has 20.

This year’s The One Show global jury selected a total of 1,345 finalists from 51 countries and regions.
