People would pay good money to walk all over me: Trade Me give discarded items the mike

Trade Me has given a voice to discarded items in a cheeky new campaign by VMLY&R Wellington and MBM.

Featuring an old treadmill and dress, the campaign encourages owners of dust-gathering and rust-covered items to list them on Trade Me and turn them into extra cash.

While the treadmill jests its owner won’t run the marathon like he says he will, the dress sulks about its owner not wanting to wear it twice.

The videos will appear across cinema, OnDemand platforms, YouTube and social and there are complementary digital assets.
