“The perfect Kiwi summer doesn’t need much,” says Woolworths NZ

Woolworths New Zealand, in partnership with M+C Saatchi and dentsu, has launched a new campaign celebrating the simplicity and freedom of a classic Kiwi summer.

The multimedia campaign brings to life a summer where we don’t need to drag trolleys laden with beach equipment to the beach. Summer picnics don’t need napkins. And BBQ sausages don’t need forks. 

Bring simplicity to life

M+C Saatchi creative director Timothy Huse says: “The magic of a New Zealand summer has always been its relaxed simplicity, but somehow it got complicated.

“Now the beach needs wifi, our tents are inflatable and we’re dragging so much to the beach we need trolleys. This campaign positions Woolworths as the everyday champion of the simple summer Kiwis really love.”

Woolworths NZ general manager brand and marketing Abbe Hale adds: “In our mission to bring simplicity to life, we looked to our most authentic brand icons. The green Woolworths bag has evolved into far more than a vessel for carrying groceries; it’s a fixture of the Kiwi lifestyle.

“Whether it’s packed for a day at the beach or a backyard gathering, it effortlessly connects our fresh food with the simple, everyday moments that define a New Zealand summer.”
