New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) has announced a new media partnership with World of WearableArt (WOW).
WOW is the iconic wearable art design competition. Each year, it brings this spectacular event to Wellington, showcasing bold and creative talent.
NZME Wellington general manager Vanya Pyne says: “NZME is proud to partner with WOW – an internationally acclaimed event that is enjoyed by tens of thousands of people in the capital city every year.
“The partnership demonstrates NZME’s growing influence in Wellington’s cultural landscape. We are also committed to continuing to invest in the local community and events that showcase the region’s creativity attracting visitors from around the globe.
“Supporting iconic Wellington institutions like WOW aligns with NZME’s vision to strengthen our presence in the capital. Meanwhile, we are also helping to promote the exceptional experiences that make our region so vibrant and unique,” Pyne adds.
NZME will deliver a multi-faceted media partnership across audio, print and digital news.
This includes coverage across lifestyle and entertainment platforms. It will also bring the power of brands such as ZM, VIVA and The New Zealand Herald to Aotearoa’s largest arena spectacle.
The path to innovation and expansion
WOW chief executive Meg Williams says partnerships are key to helping events continue to innovate and expand.
“We’re delighted to have NZME’s multi-channel support to help us share WOW with Aotearoa New Zealand.
“As well as loyal fans, WOW is experiencing exceptional growth in new audience, which this partnership will help us continue to drive forward. The 2025 WOW Show: RISE promises to be an uplifting, unmissable spectacle,” Williams adds.
NZME head of partnerships and events Emily Travers says: “NZME is thrilled to work alongside WOW in the coming years, supporting one of New Zealand’s very best world-class events.”
We are also actively supporting the events industry across the country. NZME’s impressive portfolio of arts and entertainment events reflects this commitment, Travers adds.
“These events include Visa Wellington on a Plate, Beervana, CubaDupa, The New Zealand Fringe Festival, Synthony Festival, NZSO, iD Dunedin Fashion Week and Art Deco Festival.”
The 2025 WOW Show: RISE will run from September 18 to October 5 at TSB Arena.
