Seek takes to Facebook to conquer office blues

Recruitment website Seek has drawn more than 180,000 entries to a contest that takes the inspirational poster off the office wall and into social media.

The Reinspiration Project is a twist on the artworks that traditionally occupy workplaces with cliched stock backgrounds like rainbows and soothing scenery and sayings designed to boost your mood.

Seek is asking Facebook users to like the project, then upload their own image and quote for a chance to win a major prize of $2000.

“The interwebs are full of inspiring things. But between the cats and the memes, the hipsters and the GIFs, it’s easy to miss them,” the company says. “That’s why we’ve created The Re-Inspiration Project. We want to turn your most ‘inspirationalising’ words into digital posters that can be displayed proudly on Facebook walls.”

Seek benefits from the contest by getting entrants’ contact details and the likes driven by entrants for their poster.

The company offered weekly minor cash prizes for entries with the most votes or shares, shown on the contest site as a heart with a number. The major prize will be chosen by originality and creativity of the entry, among other factors, the company says.
