Special New Zealand has been recognised for its effectiveness, both locally and globally, by industry body Effies Worldwide.
In the recently released Effies Global Rankings, Special NZ was ranked as the sixth Most Effective Agency in the World and as New Zealand’s Most Effective Agency.
The annual Effie Index rankings analyses over 4,000 worldwide finalist and winner data to identify and rank the most effective agencies.
Special was also the only New Zealand agency to make the world’s ‘Top 50’ agencies.
The agency was founded in Auckland but over the last 15 years has expanded to have eight offices across the world. Its founder and CEO Tony Bradbourne says, “It’s great to be recognised as one of the best in the world, from the very edge of the world.
“It’s a hard-earned result built on the success of Special campaigns that have seen Partners Life & Contact Energy recognised as doing the most effective marketing in the world in their respective categories of Life Insurance and Energy and Kiwibank delivering the most effective financial services marketing in New Zealand.
“In terms of three companies from New Zealand really setting the bar high and doing some of the best marketing in the world, it’s hard to go past those three. Hats off.”
The recognition comes off the back of Special’s recognition as ‘Most Effective Independent Network in the World’ by WARC this year, as well as being named New Zealand Creative Agency of the Year, Integrated Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year at the 2023 Campaign Asia Agency of the Year Awards.
Partner and Chief Strategy Officer Rory Gallery adds, “We’re driven by the ambition to be the best creative network globally, underpinned by strategy to create effective work. And, it goes without saying, we wouldn’t be able to celebrate this recognition without brave and collaborative clients who put their trust in us.”
