Memphis Meltdown has never been known for its sanity, but now the brand is encouraging Kiwis to join the madness by screaming into an ear for ice cream. The PR stunt, which was orchestrated by Colenso BBDO, aims to promote the Memphis Meltdown range that was recently revamped by Interbrand.
The giant ear has the phrase ‘scream for ice cream’ scrawled across it, and those who are brave enough to do this will be rewarded with a delicious Memphis Meltdown treat for their willingness to embarrass themselves in public.
The ear was first spotted at Aotea Square, before moving to Waikato University on 8 October, and then back to Aotea Square.
