Google's faux pas blocker

Several years ago, while working at my previous job, a co-worker tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to delete an email that she had just sent to me. Once satisfied that it had been removed from both my inbox and my deleted email folder, she moved onto the person next to me and requested exactly the same thing. She was doing this because she had sent a delightfully unsavoury email to the entire writing team rather than to a specific confidante, who could be trusted with such private reading material. At the time, she must've wished 'if only there was some way to undo the harm that I have caused'.

Well, Google has now answered this cry for help by unveiling an 'undo send' browser extension that users can activate to give them ability to delete a recently sent email within five, ten, 15 or 30 seconds of sending it. To initiate this godsend, users simply need to click on the cog icon, head to settings and then activate the option.

The only problem with Google's system is that it has a time limit—meaning that if it takes you 31 seconds to realise that you've referred to your boss as a 'vapid soul-destroying managerial vampire who's probably happy that Come Dine With Me took Campbell Live's place' then you'll have to live with the consequences of your actions.
