Facebook has said it needs to sell 50-100 million Oculus Rift headsets to make it meaningful. But Dos Equis is getting in early and offering fans a dose of virtual reality.
Unless you’ve got your own Oculus Rift headset (or Samsung’s VR Gear, which is coming soon), you’ll have to make do with this 3D version of the ad. But it’s a foreshadowing of what might be to come, because brands will no doubt see the appeal of such an immersive medium.
So far, however, Lexus and Marriot are among the rare few who have dabbled.
