Vast Billboards lights up 40th billboard in Timaru

Outdoor advertising company Vast Billboards has lit up its 40th digital billboard located in Timaru, marking a significant milestone for the business.

Currently boasting 36 billboards across six regions in the South Island and four in the North Island, the 40th billboard located at the Timaru Showgrounds development on State Highway 1 coincides with the company expanding its presence in the North Island market.

Vast Billboards is set to go live with two more billboards in Tauranga and Taupo, as the Christchurch-headquartered company looks to replicate its southern success north of the Cook Strait.

Grant Moreton, Managing Director of Vast Billboards, says of the achievement: “Reaching the 40-billboard mark is a testament to the dedication and collaborative spirit of our entire team. It’s a remarkable achievement, especially considering our relatively short time of less than four years in the industry. We are proud of the strides we’ve made and the impact we’ve had on outdoor advertising in New Zealand.”

Moreton added: “We know what works well for our clients in the South Island market, and with our growth into the North Island we’re looking forward to finding unique sites to expand our network and offering for advertisers in the region. Vast Billboards is all about delivering tailored and effective advertising solutions that meet our clients’ needs, whether in the North or the South.”

Established in 2020 during the Covid era, Vast Billboards is a family-owned business that has rapidly become a leading force in the outdoor advertising industry, with a presence in smaller regional towns as well as the big cities. The expansion into the North Island aligns with the company’s vision to offer a comprehensive network that spans the entire country.
