Ownership changes at GSL Promotus

After 30+ years building and leading long-standing Wellington independent agency GSL Promotus, Managing Director and co-owner Sigrun Grice has confirmed the sell-down of her shareholding in the agency.

Sigrun says with the agency recently attracting Tim Antric to the role of General Manager of Client Solutions, she saw a great opportunity to pass the leadership reins to someone who could continue the success of the agency well into the future.

“Tim brings a fresh perspective and new expertise to the agency, with a real strength in social marketing. He also has a strong commitment to biculturalism and diversity, and this expertise and capability is becoming increasingly important, particularly in the Government and behaviour change space. Tim coming on board as a shareholder is a great opportunity for the agency to retain its local ownership and independence. I’m looking forward to continuing to support the agency and remaining on the leadership team,” says Sigrun.

Sigrun, Jodi Macauley and Antric will continue to lead GSL.

Sigrun adds that their agency vision had always been to remain independent, offering both government and private sector clients the option of having a well-resourced locally owned agency, providing a quality product that delivered results comparable to their multinational competitors.

She says their independence had allowed them to build a very successful business that met client needs by being agile and flexible – and not being dictated to by an international master.
