This year, oOh!media is once again supporting the advertising and creative communications industries by sponsoring select categories at this year’s Effie Awards, being held virtually.
The categories oOh! is sponsoring this year include Most Effective Use of Digital Technology, Sustained Success and the Charity/Not-For-Profit categories. In previous years, oOh! has activated its sponsorship with curated VIP cocktail bar experiences to provide a moment of celebration for the attendees and the winners of the night.
However, due to the Covid-19 Lockdown Aucklanders are unable congregate en masse. As such oOh! has made the decision to pivot their original sponsorship involvement while still providing a moment of surprise and delight. For the 2021 Effie Awards, oOh! will instead be giving $10,000 cash and $20,000 media value to one of the three finalists in the Charity/Not-For-Profit category.
To choose the winner, oOh! has launched voting which will encourage people to vote for their pick of the top three. To entice the creative communities to participate, all voter will go in the draw to win a delectable delivery from local Auckland dining institution Prego (or a local equivalent if winner is not from Auckland), to enjoy on the Awards evening.
The three finalists include; Breast Cancer Foundation, The Movember Foundation, and National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuges Inc.
General Manager of oOh!media NZ Nick Vile says: “As commercial partners of the Commercial Communications Council, we aim to support the communities we are part of; including the advertising industry, as well as celebrating advertising excellence. It’s great that we can continue to support our industry, even in these trying times. The Effies is a fantastic opportunity for our industry to showcase the exceptional work that has been produced in the past year and give recognition and rewards to all the incredible and creative campaigns.”
The Effie Awards will be held virtually on 10 November via a private link.
