OMANZ new traffic report shows Covid’s clear effect

The new OMANZ Traffic Volume Report has shown the effect Covid-19 and lockdown restrictions have had on traffic, and in turn, the OOH audience.

The data which is critical for OMANZ members is sourced from the NTA and Auckland transport. Data from these two sources has been blended to provide insight and a representative snapshot of the weekly travel behaviour of New Zealanders as we transition through the Covid-19 alert stages.

The data shows that cameras across motorways saw a massive decline in traffic as travel was restricted to essential workers. While the graph below shows on the first day of level three, traffic more than doubled versus the level 4 lock-down for the previous week.
