Ogilvy and Mather is introducing the global Neo@Ogilvy network to New Zealand, adding the digital division here and bulking up its team. Staff investment is a key focus, with the addition of five new roles taking the total for Neo to 10 by June.
Among the new roles are a digital media manager, a senior SEO specialist and a senior paid search specialist, with an ad operations junior to start in May and a head of programmatic trading in June.
Neo@Ogilvy is headed by Eddy Whatt, who has been Ogilvy’s digital media director since 2010. He stresses the new division still sits within the wider Ogilvy and Mather media team, so its personnel will still be involved at the early stages when clients are making strategic decisions, well before the channel planning stage.
“Once there’s a brief, we’ll apply Neo best practice,” he says.
During launch, Neo@Ogilvy in New Zealand has already established close relationships with some of the global network’s offices, including New York, Singapore and Australia, he says.
“We can tap into the international resource to drive inspiration and get case studies. We have that full backing and support.”
will offer services including display, search engine optimisation, social media and mobile.
