NZME renews exclusive partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse

NZME has announced the renewal of an exclusive multi-year partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse.

The collaboration demonstrates its commitment to Canterbury’s racing and entertainment events and builds on a successful relationship established in 2022.

As part of the renewed agreement, NZME will remain the exclusive media partner for Riccarton’s Cup Week events, featuring racing, fashion, food and entertainment across three days in November:

  • Opening Day on November 8
  • Ladies Day on November 12
  • New Zealand Cup Day on November 15

Bring locals together

Danny Valentine, NZME Christchurch sales manager, says the renewed partnership comes alongside NZME’s existing partnership with The Royal A&P Show of New Zealand, positioning NZME as the media partner for two of the major events on Canterbury’s social calendar.

The partnership will also see NZME provide the ZM Entertainment Zone, complete with DJs, for New Zealand Cup Day.

“We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse,” says Valentine

“This collaboration allows us to connect our valued Canterbury clients with one of the region’s most prestigious events, providing exceptional opportunities to reach engaged local audiences during the highlight of the social calendar.

“The partnership reflects NZME’s ongoing commitment to supporting major events that drive economic activity and bring communities together in Canterbury,” he adds.

A win-win partnership

Janine Tindall-Morice, NZME regional head – Southern commercial, says the partnership brings a huge amount of value to NZME’s Canterbury clients and audiences.

“Through our partnership with Riccarton we’re not just supporting outstanding events, but we’re helping to strengthen the connection between Canterbury’s premier racing experiences and audiences nationwide.

“It’s a partnership that delivers real value for our clients and celebrates what makes our region so special,” says Tindall-Morice.
