Sparktazzle: a modern take on Christmas

It’s no secret that Christmas has turned into a massive marketing success story that pushes product sales over the holiday period every year. But, if Christmas was conceptualised by a modern advertising agency, would it still look and feel the way it does today?

This was the question Ogilvy Paris asked in a quirky Christmas campaign, and their findings show that it probably wouldn’t have any of the features it currently has. In fact, it would probably be called Sparktazzle and creepy, chimney-crawling Santa wouldn’t feature in it at all.
