Following the $49 million acquisition of iSite Media by QMS, the pair of companies have now completed their integration and will now trade under the name QMS NZ.
The newly merged entity—which includes includes ten landmark digital billboards across New Zealand, more than 450 static billboards, and over 1,400 buses—will be led by former iSite Media chief executive Wayne Chapman.
“This is a hugely exciting time for OOH and for QMS NZ,” commented Chapman. “I’m honoured to be entrusted to lead this great business, and privileged to work with and for such an outstanding, talented and passionate team of like-minded people.”
Chapman said that the new entity would bring together the strengths that previously typified both QMS and iSite.
“[This] announcement represents the culmination of six months of hard work to bring together two highly complementary businesses in a manner designed to preserve and create value for our clients and stakeholders,” he said.
“Our new business allows us to create a compelling proposition combining an expanded services offering, existing scale and strength, and the ability to stand on the shoulders of the QMS Group’s expertise and experience; particularly in respect of the digital journey to which we are fully committed. The key attributes that made iSite a success; our people, values and focus on delivering quality solutions for our clients, are encapsulated in the heart of the QMS brand and will be fundamental to the way in which we conduct business moving forward.”
Former QMS chief executive Chris Monaghan and former general manager Cameron Taylor will remain on the executive team, focusing on group strategy and strategic partnerships, respectively.
These changes are effective immediately.
