MediaWorks appoints head of rova Podcast Studio
MediaWorks has appointed experienced podcast leader Anna Henvest as head of rova Podcast Studio.
The newly created leadership role reflects MediaWorks’ commitment to growing its podcast portfolio, expanding audience engagement and building commercially sustainable digital audio products as demand grows.
The appointment is an internal promotion for Henvest, who joined MediaWorks as executive podcast producer in late 2025. She has since played a pivotal role in driving the strategy, editorial direction and growth of the company’s podcast portfolio.
Deep podcast expertise
Reporting to the group content director Leon Wratt, Henvest will lead the direction and performance of rova Podcast Studio, overseeing content strategy, editorial standards, production capability, commercial growth and audience engagement across the business’s podcast network.
Wratt says: “Anna brings an outstanding combination of creative leadership, commercial understanding and deep podcast expertise.
“She has already made a significant contribution to rova podcasts, and her experience building successful audio products across both New Zealand and Australia makes her the ideal person to lead the next phase of growth.”
Build content audiences value
Henvest brings more than a decade of experience across radio and podcasting in both New Zealand and Australia. She has launched and overseen the success of many titles, including Let Her Finish, Kiwi Yarns, Where’s My Money? and A Little Bit Extra.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to continue building a portfolio of content that audiences genuinely value,” says Henvest.
“Creating new opportunities for talent, partners and advertisers while building a sustainable, innovative and commercially successful podcast business.”
The appointment marks the latest step in MediaWorks’ ongoing investment in rova and digital audience growth.
