Spruik and Aspen NZ bring Zantac to OOH

After five years out of the New Zealand market, Zantac has received Medsafe registration to return as an over-the-counter option for heartburn relief.

Pharmaceutical company Aspen New Zealand engaged creative agency Spruik to lead the relaunch and reintroduce Zantac into a highly competitive category.

Alongside Aspen New Zealand, Spruik rebuilt Zantac’s foundation for re-entry – sharpening its positioning, clarifying the priority audience and establishing a confident, modern tone.

They also developed an integrated go-to-market plan designed to drive consumer engagement and provide healthcare professionals with clear, evidence-based information.

The remedy in motion

A 15-second television commercial showcases how heartburn can disrupt special moments and positions Zantac as fast-acting, long-lasting symptom relief.

Alongside TV, Spruik expanded the campaign across digital touchpoints, including the Zantac website and social channels, supported by a mix of traditional and digital radio, BVOD and digital.

In addition, a nationwide out of home campaign gave Zantac physical visibility across key sites to engage consumers.
