Marketing Association welcomes nominations for 2026 leadership programme
The New Zealand Marketing Association is gearing up to run its Advanced Marketing Leadership programme for 2026.
This year’s programme features a swathe of local and international speakers. The credentials range from managing directors, a country director, six CEO, two CFOs, three agency strategists, expert trainers and 30-plus CMOs, says the MA’s CEO John Miles.
Local speakers include TVNZ CEO Jodi O’Donnell on making the hard calls, One NZ CEO Jason Paris for a Q&A session and dentsu’s Lisa Divett on power without authority, among many others.
The contingent of international speakers includes US clinical professor of marketing Jim Lecinski and The Marketing Society CEO Sophie Devonshire.
“All giving up their time to help the next generation of marketers progress their career. We haven’t seen anything else in the world that brings this level of firepower into one programme,” says Miles.
A brilliant line-up
The Advanced Marketing Leadership programme is a three-month course run by the MA every year. It invites senior marketers to attend a series of intensive workshops, panel discussions and presentations as they look to future CMO roles.
The programme began in 2023 and now has 100 alumni. ASB’s head of marketing Diane Clark (formerly of Foodstuffs NZ) was one of the first graduates, a fact she counts herself lucky for.
“What a brilliant line-up of top experts and superstar CMO line up giving us compelling and relevant content across the six days. I hope there will be many future graduates to follow,” Clark said of her experience.
Applications for the course are open and nominations close on April 17. Find out more here.
