TVNZ and Frank podcasts announce new partnership

Kiwi audiences will now able to watch a range of podcasts on TVNZ+, as the local broadcaster expands its current content offering.

TVNZ welcomed Frank podcasts to its platform on April 15. The partnership positions podcasting alongside traditional media formats, providing a new and exciting way for people to engage with them.

“This launch is not just about bringing more great content to TVNZ+,” says TVNZ’s chief news & content officer, Nadia Tolich. “It’s about empowering Kiwi talent and opening new distribution opportunities for the country’s best podcast creators. We’re especially thrilled to introduce the hugely successful Between Two Beers podcast to audiences in this format, showcasing local stories and voices and evolving how podcasts live within the wider TVNZ+ ecosystem.”

Between Two Beers is one of the podcasts that Kiwis will be able to stream on TVNZ+

A huge leap forward

Alongside Between Two Beers launching on TVNZ+ will be episodes of Extremely Casual Gamers, Stand Up Again with Nick and Sophie Rado, Human in the Loop, What A Lad, and Party Science.

Frank founder and head of innovation Mike Minogue says the collaboration is a huge leap forward for podcasting in Aotearoa.

“I’m really proud that Frank and TVNZ have been able to work together to create such a fantastic opportunity for both Kiwi podcasters and Kiwi audiences.”

New episodes will roll out weekly.
