Together appoints new general manager strategy
Independent media agency Together has appointed Josh Hogg as general manager – strategy.
Hogg is a seasoned strategist with deep roots in the New Zealand media industry. He brings a wealth of experience spanning brand strategy, communications planning and behaviour change across Publicis, dentsu and IPG agencies.
He has led communication strategy for a range of blue-chip commercial clients, such as ASB and Whittaker’s. He’s also worked on major social marketing initiatives for government organisations, including NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Fire and Emergency New Zealand and the Accident Compensation Corporation.
Commitment to market-leading thinking
In the newly created GM strategy role, Hogg will lead the further development and standardisation of Together’s planning processes and tools across the agency, supporting high-quality and consistency of strategic thinking at scale.
“Josh’s appointment is a significant one for Together,” says Rufus Chuter, managing partner. “Strategy is at the heart of everything we do, and creating this role reflects our commitment to market-leading thinking and judgement. Josh brings the expertise and the drive to scale and codify how we plan, both now and as we further develop our approach for the agentic era.”

Genuinely different
Hogg will operate from Together’s Wellington office while servicing clients across both Wellington and Auckland. He will further strengthen the agency’s national capability and boosting the Wellington team to five people.
“Having Josh based in Wellington also reinforces our investment in that market. The Wellington office is growing quickly and this is a real statement of intent – we’re building something genuinely exciting there,” says Chuter.
“Together has built something genuinely different in the New Zealand market – an agency that backs smart thinking and isn’t afraid to do things its own way. I’m excited to help shape how we plan, sharpen our strategic product and make sure we’re delivering the best work of our careers for clients. And doing it from Wellington, makes it even better,” says Hogg.
