QMS NZ partners with Comms Council and the Beacon Awards

QMS NZ has become the major sponsor of the Beacon Awards as part of a broader partnership with the Commercial Communications Council.

The new relationship will see QMS assume major partner rights for the Beacon Awards, while also supporting the Comms Council’s broader portfolio of industry events and initiatives, such as AXIS Speaks.

A natural fit

QMS NZ national sales director Ben Gibb says: “Out of home plays an increasingly important role in how brands connect with audiences across Aotearoa, and we see a real opportunity to support the continued growth and evolution of the channel.

“Partnering with the Beacon Awards and the Comms Council is a natural fit for QMS as they both play a critical role in recognising the power of media thinking and the impact it can deliver for clients and agencies.

“Our ambition is to contribute meaningfully to the industry – supporting creativity, encouraging innovation and helping elevate the role out of home plays in delivering business outcomes. We’re proud to be partnering with the Comms Council on the Beacon Awards and AXIS Speaks,” he adds.

Where media thinking drives impact

The Comms Council’s CEO Simon Lendrum says: “We’re honoured to welcome QMS as major partner of the Beacon Awards, and a partner of the Comms Council.

“The Beacon Awards are an important part of the Comms Council’s core purpose: to advance the reputation, influence and impact of the advertising and communications industry.

“The awards celebrate work where media thinking shaped outcomes – where insight, strategy and execution combined to deliver real results – making them a great fit for QMS.”

The 2026 Beacon Awards in association with QMS will take place on July 2.
