Board changes at the Comms Council
The Commercial Communications Council has elected Colenso BBDO CEO Angela Watson as president of the Comms Council Board, effective immediately.
Watson has been a board member since 2021, and is replacing Rob Harvey, CEO Dentsu ANZ, who has stepped down after four years in the role.
Continue the progress
Watson says: “Rob has done an amazing job as president – his conviction, generosity and belief in the value of the industry is contagious. I’m genuinely excited to step into the role – continuing to make progress where it’s needed most and spearheading the great work of the Comms Council on behalf of all of its members – as we enter a new frontier of change and possibility.”
An outstanding successor
Harvey says: “When I stepped into the role, I said there were two areas where I wanted us to make meaningful progress: sustainability and diversity. I’m proud that together we launched Ad Net Zero and He Tāngata The People, and I’m confident these initiatives have set us up for sustained progress in these important areas.
“I’m delighted to be handing the baton to Angela, who I know will be an outstanding president and a powerful champion for our industry.”
