Publicis Groupe New Zealand announces leadership changes
Publicis Groupe ANZ has announced a series of senior leadership updates in New Zealand.
The company says the changes reflect the continued momentum of the business and a focus on delivering impactful outcomes for clients through talent, technology and innovation.
As part of the developments, MBM CEO Lee Ann Morris will expand her remit to take on the newly created role of chief media officer for Publicis Groupe New Zealand.
Accelerating client outcomes
In this expanded role, Morris will work closely with executive leadership across the Oceania region, including Imogen Hewitt, ANZ chief media officer, to further accelerate client outcomes through Publicis Groupe’s connected capabilities.
Her focus will include capability integration and talent development, while ensuring clients benefit from the Groupe’s global leadership in data, AI and technology and the continued rollout of advanced tools and platforms worldwide.
At an agency level, to further strengthen MBM’s leadership and support continued growth, recruitment has commenced for a general manager for the agency’s Auckland office.
Meanwhile, Spark Foundry NZ’s Kelly Rosnell‑Shand has been promoted from general manager of client service to general manager of the agency. Having been with Spark Foundry since its launch in New Zealand, Rosnell‑Shand is a highly respected leader who has played a key part in building strong client partnerships and contributing to the agency’s culture.
Publicis Groupe’s growth focus
Further strengthening the Groupe’s growth focus, Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand’s Mark Cochrane will move into the new position of director of growth & transformation, Publicis Groupe New Zealand.
Cochrane will drive new business, transformation initiatives and future opportunities.
Saatchi & Saatchi Australia managing director Toby Aldred will step in as interim CEO, supporting the agency during the transition period.
Strength and ambition
On the appointments, Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO Michael Rebelo says: “These leadership changes reflect the strength and ambition of our business in New Zealand. As our Groupe evolves, so too do the responsibilities of our leaders. These changes build on a strong foundation and reflect the scale and trajectory of the business, positioning us well for the future.
“Lee Ann is an exceptional leader with a clear view of where media is heading and how we harness technology, AI and talent to deliver meaningful results for clients. Her expanded role will help ensure our clients continue to benefit from the full scale, innovation and expertise of Publicis Groupe.
“Over his 18 years with Saatchi & Saatchi, Mark has made a significant contribution across the organisation, and the agency is well positioned for its next stage of growth.”
