Stars align with Go Media
Outdoor media specialists Go Media has teamed up with Stars Netball as naming rights partner and will feature on the front of the team’s game day kit this season.
The new ANZ Premiership season kicked off on Sunday, with The Go Media Stars playing their opening game against cross-town rivals, the Mystics, at Eventfinda Stadium on Auckland’s North Shore.
“We’re huge supporters of netball and were approached by our partners at Netball NZ with an opportunity to back the Stars by being front and centre as their naming rights partner,” says Go Media managing director Mike Gray.
“It’s more than just a sponsorship; it’s about standing behind a team that represents the heart of our community. This season should be a cracker.”
Inspiring the next generation of Silver Ferns
Besides sponsoring the Go Media Stars and Netball NZ, Go Media also sponsors the Mystics, Pulse, Magic, Tactix, Steel.
“Netball is a hugely important part of New Zealand’s communities. It has hundreds of thousands of incredibly passionate fans, players and supporters around the country,” says Gray.
“We’re proud to be playing our part in backing this incredible game and to help inspire the next generation of Silver Ferns.”
Stars Netball general manager Jane Bennett welcomed Go Media to the team saying it is great to complete the season’s partnership roster.
“We are thrilled to be the Go Media Stars for the 2025 season. We have strong value alignment with Go Media and admire their leadership and business philosophy,” says Bennett.
“Our team will wear their logo with pride and I am excited to see what we can do together.”
The sponsorship sees Go Media extend its sporting support across Auckland, which also includes Auckland FC, The Blues, Auckland and North Harbour Rugby Unions, Auckland Cricket, Auckland Tennis, Emirates Team New Zealand, Mea Motu and Go Media Stadium.
The business also supports a range of arts, culture, music and fashion events across Tāmaki Makaurau.
“Our focus has always been to encourage things that make Auckland a great place to live. It’s wonderful to be involved in organisations that give so much to the community and inspire our tamariki,” says Gray.
