Marketers also have souls

In the words of Chuck Palahniuk's Tyler Durden in Fight Club, "advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need." And while this remains true for the most part, there are times when advertisers also use their skills to encourage people to make the world a better place.

In an effort to remove some of the hate plastered on walls around the city, Volunteer Center Zagreb is encouraging people to edit the often racist, homophobic and sexist messages evident in graffiti by pasting posters over some of the letters.

And it appears that Axe body spray, infamous for its liberal use of sexism, is also attempting to ameliorate its image by encouraging people to make love, not war.
