A Kickstarter for New Zealand’s very first cat café, The Cat Lounge, has emerged. For just $35,000, 10 to 15 of the cuddliest, smoochiest cats and kittens around will installed in Auckland, just waiting for you to drop by for a coffee.

Other countries don’t stop with cats. Kotaku reported an explosion of owl cafes in Japan over the summer of 2013, while Café Marriage takes the cake for the most unusual gimmick – “kabe-don.” From what we understand, kabe-don is when a man punches a wall out of frustration, but in a romantic way. It’s performed at the café by a robot called Mr Marriage. Just watch the video.

Kiwi illustrator Giselle Clarkson released this webcomic just in time for duck shooting season. It’s about ducks, morality, and how you can get away with anything if your Gran is scary enough.
