HRV and Y&R harness the use of solar power

HRV and Y&R give light to solar-powered alternatives in a campaign to launch HRV Solar.

Featuring a TVC and radio ads, the campaign demonstrates the number of electric products we use every day and how the sun can help to power them. From an electric toothbrush to a spa pool and vacuum cleaner, solar energy has a number of uses and HRV Solar is the latest according to the campaign.

As well as on air and on the radio, the campaign is running across cinema, video on demand and online, including influencer partnerships. The partnerships include the conception of a new weather measurement with MetService, which now provides daily kilowatt-hour reports that indicate how much solar energy people can use to power their homes.

Y&R CEO/CCO Josh Moore says Y&R has been working with HRV for six years, and it’s incredibly proud to have taken the brand from a direct marketing business to producing robust, integrated campaigns, including this latest work for HRV Solar.

Chief executive officer of Eco-Products Group (owner of HRV) Bruce Gordon adds the launch is a part of HRV’s ongoing vision to provide Kiwi homes that are warm, dry and comfortable, harnessed by the latest in-home solar technologies that complement the range of HRV solutions.

“Solar technology has developed to a point of being useful for everyday New Zealanders, and we’re excited to offer it to Kiwi homeowners.”
