WPP AUNZ merges PPR with BCW

WPP AUNZ has merged PR agency PPR with global communications agency BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe). The newly merged business will be led by Pamela Klioufis, managing director of BCW’s Australian business.

Through the merger, BCW now has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.

Kieran Moore, CEO of WPP AUNZ PR & GR, said in the announcement the merger is about giving clients and our team members best-in-class skills.

“The global thinking, experience, tools and systems of BCW, combined with the unparalleled local ANZ reach of PPR, make for a perfect match. We look forward to our existing clients benefiting from this offer and to attracting new clients and people to BCW.”

Matt Stafford, BCW’s president in Asia-Pacific, added BCW’s Australian operation has already doubled in size over the past 18 months, both in terms of revenue and headcount. Now with this merger, BCW becomes one of the largest PR firms in the country.

“Our clients are eager to access our expanded offering while our newly combined team can now embrace the regional BCW talent, training and network support.”
