UnLtd Big Clash gets The Alternative Commentary Collective treatment

Spectators at the inaugural UnLtd: Big Clash cricket event in Auckland will be treated to plenty of entertainment with commentary from The Alternative Commentary Collective.

The event, organised by social purpose organisation UnLtd and sponsored by JCDecaux New Zealand will see all corners of the industry battle it out on the cricket field, to see who gets the industry bragging rights – Media Owners, Agencies, Creatives or Tech.

The inaugural event on March 2 at Parnell Cricket Club is raising funds for UnLtd’s work supporting young people at risk.

Brendan Muller, General Manager of UnLtd Aotearoa says: “We couldn’t be more excited to be launching Big Clash in Auckland next week! We’ve been overwhelmed by the interest and support from the industry – it’s going to be a fantastic day connecting with the industry over some food, drinks, cricket and now some great commentary by The Alternative Commentary Collective!”

The Alternative Commentary Collective is New Zealand’s home for sports entertainment bringing together live commentary, podcasts, events and sports through a group of like-minded comedians and broadcasters with a unique style of sports coverage.

Mike Lane, General Manager for The Alternative Commentary Collective says: “We are delighted to be able to support the first ever UnLtd: Big Clash Aotearoa and the important work UnLtd does for youth at risk. Being able to help the next generation whilst doing what we love is brilliant and we can’t wait to commentate on some media battlers and weekend warriors and help raise more funds.”

The Alternative Commentary Collective at UnLtd Big Clash will consist of Mike Lane, Dai Henwood and Matt Heath.

The event will also feature activations by event sponsor JCDecaux New Zealand, activations by UnLtd’s charity partners as well as a BBQ, drinks and music throughout the day. UnLtd is encouraging everyone across the industry to come along to join the fun, support a good cause and help cheer their team to victory on 2 March at Parnell Cricket Club.
