University of Auckland and JWT encourage students to ‘never stop’ in new campaign

With semester two of the academic year kicking off next month, the University of Auckland have released a new campaign urging the next generation of leaders to be restless in their pursuits.

An integrated brand campaign created by J. Walter Thompson (JWT) New Zealand features a 30-second TVC that brings to life the research and study that puts the university at the forefront of innovation. The video evokes the campaign’s title, ‘Never Stop’, to be a fast-paced progression through the frontiers of science, technology, engineering and medicine.

“The work of [the university’s]staff and students is a driver of progress for the benefit of all New Zealanders and the wider world,” says Justin Barnes, executive creative director at JWT New Zealand.  “The ‘Never Stop’ campaign brings this relentlessness to life in a way that’s as unique, diverse and distinctive as the university itself.”

The multi-layered campaign, which spans television, online film content, outdoor and digital channels, launched on June 11. A website has also been set up to host the TVC and provide more information for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

‘Never Stop’ is an extension of the University of Auckland and JWT’s 2015 campaign ‘Achieve the Amazing’ which sought to attract students by trumpeting what makes it a “world-ranking” university. Once again, the university was ranked as New Zealand’s leading university in the 2017 QS World University Rankings, coming in at 81st place, worldwide.
