Uber’s fare ends at Pead PR

Pead PR announced today that Uber has officially ended its contract with the public relations company.

The two companies have parted way due to regional alignment, as Uber looks to an Australian based agency instead.

Sarah Munnik, managing partner at Pead PR says the company has known about the departure for a few months, yet is still disappointed about the move.

“Sadly, global alignments are a fact of life in agency land. Someone sneezes in New York and local business gets caught in the shower. That’s just the way it is for our industry.

“Never the less, we have learned so much about this technology category and we are exceptionally proud of our stellar work on the account, including the launch of Uber and Uber Eats across multiple regions in New Zealand, promoting free rides for people called Sam, the glorious Shark Bait project and the launch of JUMP e-bikes and scooters. Our team has set a high benchmark to meet.

“It is been a terrific ride and we now look forward to putting our great experience on this client to good use for NZ start-ups in the category,” added Sarah
