Thompson Spencer celebrate entrepreneurial spirit at EY Awards
The 2024 EY Entrepreneur of the Year winner was announced on November 6 during a memorable evening that showcased New Zealand’s entrepreneurial spirit.
As sponsors, a team from Thompson Spencer attended along with clients, joining the business community in celebrating the achievements of the finalists and offer congratulations to the winner: Jonny Hendriksen from Shuttlerock.

Thompson Spencer co-founders, Wendy Thompson and Melanie Spencer, have long been champions and advocates for New Zealand’s exceptional talent. Thompson was a 2021 EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist herself, and both she and Spencer are seasoned entrepreneurs who understand the tenacity and resourcefulness it takes to stand out and succeed.
In addition to being a sponsor, Thompson Spencer’s in-house production company Magnesium produced all of the finalists’ story videos shown throughout the evening.
