For the third year running, The Clio Awards have created a special award to coincide with the biggest event on the advertising calendar, the Super Bowl. However, just be sure you don’t call it that.
In typical ambush marketing fashion, The Clio organisers simply refer to the even as “The Big Game” and to the competition as the “Clio Creative Bowl.”
That said, the esteemed panel trawled through all the ads and picked the spots they deemed the best of the year.
Coming out on top was McCann New York’s cheeky spot for National Geographic, showing Einstein playing Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.
The runners-up included, Honda, Budweiser and Air BnB.
