Purpose-driven: JOLT launches 100 percent Digital Out-of-Home network

New Zealand’s first free electric vehicle charging network, JOLT, has today launched a 100 percent Digital Out-of-Home network, providing a new way for brands to connect with premium audiences in urban areas.

The network of roadside fast chargers provides free7kWh to all New Zealand Electric Vehicle drivers per day improving charger accessibility for those considering owning an EV.

Already established in Australia, the network has given out over 162,000km of free energy – the equivalent of four trips around the surface of the earth.

Chris Monaghan, Country Manager of New Zealand at JOLT, says the advertising network provides an audience of people “who are conscious, pioneering and engaged”.

“Our data led approach to site selection creates an exciting contextual environment for advertisers to reach customers in innovative ways. We’re excited to roll out the network and provide EV owners a peace of mind knowing there are charging solutions available at their disposal. As a premium roadside urban panel network, JOLT will offer inventory programmatically, delivering flexibility to audience-based buys. All our digital inventory are double sided 75 inch portraits using quality technology,” says Monaghan.

Advertisers across industries such as energy, telco, automotive, retail, FMCG and financial services have already started trading on the JOLT network.

EV drivers who use a roadside JOLT charging station can get 7kWh for free, which takes approximately 15 minutes to charge and around 45 kilometres of range depending on the vehicle model.

“By advertising with JOLT, a brand is helping enable the adoption of reduced-emission transport. The brand’s media activity will be verified for its positive impact on the community and also receive carbon credits which puts sustainability at the heart of the business,” says Monaghan.

JOLT has recently announced its launch partnership with Mitre 10 and will continue to develop the network across the country late July onwards, starting in Auckland and expanding to Wellington, Christchurch and the main provincial areas.
