New vodka RTD brand encourages Kiwis to embrace the moment

Capturing New Zealand’s forward-focused identity, new Kiwi vodka RTD brand Good & Great has launched this week, along with a light-hearted campaign via Motion Sickness.

The premise of the campaign is focused on the idea that while New Zealanders are often punching above our weight and striving for more, it’s often at the expense of appreciating the here and now and reminds us to stop, and have a moment, with the moment.

The centerpiece is the 30 second TVC built upon Daniel Beddingfield’s 2002 pop hit ‘If you’re not the one’. Guided by Beddingfield’s soaring vocals, we join a cast of everyday Kiwis on their satirical journey from seemingly mundane everyday situations, to a blissed out, all-encompassing embrace of the moment.

Out now, Good & Great is made using New Zealand vodka and crisp sparkling water and is available in three flavours Kiwis know and love: Raspberry & Lime, Passionfruit & Pineapple, and Peach & Pear.

Fraser Shrimpton, DB Breweries Marketing Director, says the campaign concept was borne out of wanting to encourage Kiwis to celebrate each moment.

“We all know that summery feeling when it’s as hot as an oven outside, where barefoot expeditions and ocean swims are a daily occurrence, and around every corner is your new favourite spot. Us Kiwis have it so good, it’s actually pretty great. Yet we don’t always appreciate the here and now,” says Shrimpton.

Live from October 9, the main 30 second TVC will be accompanied by cutdowns, OOH, street posters, and will also run across social and digital platforms throughout summer.
