A message from national treasure and titan of talk radio, Mike Hosking

In keeping with the ongoing tradition of celebrating the radio results, NZME has again released a quirky video covering some of the highlights for the media company. This time the message is delivered by the Mike Hosking doll, creepily voiced over by Jeremy Wells.

The Hosking caricature is unashamedly more interested in own brilliance than the performance of his co-workers, and describes his audience as being so big that it could be seen from the moon if lined up . The Mike Hosking parody certainly has been well used on Watchme over the last few months, but Wells still pulls a few great lines out of the bag in this short clip.

Sadly, there was no competitive banter this time, because MediaWorks did not counter NZME’s effort with a quirky clip of their own.
