Contagion has ‘no regerts’ taking Energy Online into mainstream media with dodgy tattoos

Energy Online is showing off its no contract deal in the form of a massive back tattoo that shows how life is full of regretful commitments.

The new campaign by Contagion is the brand’s first play into mainstream media, with TV, social and digital creative based on the things that people regret. According to a 30-second TVC, one of those things are dodgy, misspelt tattoos.

The videos shows a wife giving her husband a fishing rod reel as a gift, before he reciprocates the generosity by revealing a massive tattoo of her on his back. Underneath it reads ‘No Regerts’ in all its typo-ridden glory, but his wife’s horror suggests that won’t be the case for very long.

Contagion ECD Bridget Taylor says over the last four years, it’s helped build Energy Online’s brand and now it’s great to launch them into the mainstream media.

“You couldn’t get a smarter team than James, Justine, Sam and David, they are fabulous to work with and it was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end producing this work.”

The Sweet Shop also worked on the campaign and director Damien Shatford said he drew inspiration from his own late night decision to get ‘FOIE GRAS’ tattooed on his knee.

“Turns out it’s been quite a commitment. So this script really resonated with me. Bad tattoos can be comedy gold – and massaging them together with why people should switch providers is something I wanted to be part of.”
