Coca-Cola’s miniature blockbuster

Coca-Cola has gone the cinematic route with a new online ad called ‘Steampunk Coke’, which looks like a scene straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster.

The clip, created by FH Dortmund Germany combines an epic soundtrack, slapstick tropes, amazing cinematography and some quirky characters.

The main two are a man in a top hat and a dwarf who boss around some employees who are working some pretty complex machinery, with all the cogs and screws befit to the steam punk style.

We eventually discover the machine is used to make ice cubes, and when one employee takes a swig of Coca-Cola it quickly becomes obvious that they have discovered something amazing: the pairing of Coca-Cola and ice. A tagline then reads “Best served ice-cold since 1886”.
