Burger King is celebrating Halloween by reigniting the banter between itself and its fast food rival, by disguising itself as a McDonald’s ghost.
The Burger King at Rego Park, New York, was made to look like a ghost by being covered in white tarpaulins with eye holes cut at the top. And if that wasn’t effort enough, the cut out eyes were topped with the trademark McDonald’s yellow M instead of eyebrows, and McDonald’s was written across the side of the white cover.
The final touch was a sign to explain the joke, reading “BOOOOO! (Just Kidding, we still flame-frill our burgers) Happy Halloween”.
Even the burger boxes were dresses up like McDonald’s burgers, with consumers let in on the joke once they opened it.
