360 degrees of Australia

Expedia is trying to tempt visitors to Australia by asking its audience ‘how far would you go for the things you love?’ in a 360-video that shows off some of the county’s best views.

The video, released in conjunction with Tourism Australia, takes viewers to some of the country’s remote locations including Three Capes Track, Karratha Station, Ningaloo Reef, and night time in the Outback where Aborigines can be seen dancing under the stars.

The different areas are tied together with a deep Australian voice over telling a story about the different journeys people take to find the things they love.

Note: The video is best viewed in a Chrome browser.

In the two weeks since its release, the video has revived over three million views.

As well as the main video, Expedia’s website also includes a series 360-videos that explore 17 locations in detail. Users can visit the Great Barrier Reef, get up close to kangaroos at Kangaroo Island, climb a waterfall at Biddlecombe Cascade in the Norther Territory and check out the surf on the Gold Coast.
