Rosters beefed up…

…as Sean Keaney moves closer to the Capitol, new indie True adds a partner to the mix and iSite Media announces a group agency manager.

More beef

Clemenger Group recently beefed up its digital offering with ex-Hey Day and Shift boffin Thomas Scovell and AIM Proximity Wellington has continued the beefing up by luring Sean Keaney from Rapp Tribal to the newly created role of director of integration.

Keaney has over 12 years experience, with stints at RBR, Clemenger BBDO and The Tin Drum before joining Rapp Tribal in 2010 as general manager. In that role he oversaw the agency’s Wellington client base, ANZ National Bank, CIGNA and Loyalty New Zealand.

Reporting to Andrew Holt, managing director Clemenger Group Wellington, Keaney will have responsibility for Kiwbank and for driving direct marketing across all Clemenger BBDO and AIM Proximity clients.

“This is a fantastic hire for AIM Proximity,” says Holt. “Sean is a great guy who knows the agency and our clients well. He’s got impeccable direct marketing experience but also knows how to integrate that thinking into big brand ideas. Not only will he drive one of AIM Proximity’s largest clients, but he’ll make sure best practice direct marketing is at the heart of our offering to all clients. It’s great to have him back in the agency.”

Keaney says it was an opportunity too good to pass up and while leaving his team at RAPP Tribal was difficult, “the pain was somewhat numbed when he walked back into 8 Kent Terrace.

“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and working with the extremely talented bunch here and the Kiwibank team. Plus, I’m that much closer to Capitol now.”

Truth in advertising

Youtube VideoAfter a decade in the Clemenger network, Matt Dickinson has left his role as group account director at .99 to join Craig Pethybridge and Michael Currie as a part owner of six-month old indie True.

“Matt is an outstanding suit with extensive experience and an impressive list of achievements,” says Pethybridge, who worked with him when he was creative director at .99. “To top it off he’s just a bloody good bloke who could make a crocodile weak at the knees with his charm and boyish good looks.”

Since True opened its doors in Symonds St, it has enjoyed steady growth, with a total of ten clients on the roster (including Mercury Energy, New Zealand Natural, Starship, Fuji Xerox and Fairfax Media) and a staff of seven.

“Matt will be hitting the ground running, but that’s a pace he’s well suited to,” says operations directorCurrie. “We know he’s going to be instrumental in our continued growth over the coming years.”

20/20 vision

It recently got ComCom approval to buy up OTW’s billboards, and now iSite Media has announced the addition of Keryn Fowlie as group agency manager.

Her role will initially ease the departure of Kirstin Friedrich, who will be on maternity leave from the end of this year.

Fowlie has worked in media for over ten years, her most recent role as sales manager for Val Morgan Cinema Network. Her background also includes media agency and further media sales experience.
